Welcome! I’m Catherine. I’m glad you are here.
My work helps people with pain, poor posture, injuries, inflexibility, lack of coordination, and the distress and agitation that can come with these things. People who work with me commonly experience a more comfortable body, ease of movement, easy good posture, more body awareness and self awareness, and access to calm, optimistic states.
Most of my clients come to see me for structural bodywork (Rolfing®). I’ve been in practice as a Rolfer for over 20 years. I also do somatic movement sessions and nervous system regulation sessions.
In structural bodywork, I am making direct, thorough, detailed, hands-on contact with your body. There’s more about this on the Rolfing page.
In somatic movement work, we are helping your body find optimal movement patterns, ones that give the body the ability to be strong and active.
In nervous system work, we work with body sensations help an activated nervous system (a distressed person) to shift towards a “relaxed and ready” state.
You can schedule Rolfing structural sessions by contacting me or going to my online schedule. Sometimes I have a waiting list for structural work. Contact me directly to schedule movement or nervous system sessions.
My initial training was in Rolfing Structural Integration and Rolfing Movement Integration. I've studied other movement systems (more on that in my bio) and am currently a Somatic Experiencing (traumawork) practitioner-in-training.
