GMB fitness

GMB Elements https://gmb.io/e/

"Confident, skillful movement starts with the basics. Hip mobility, joint health, and cross-body coordination don’t sound sexy…until you discover just how much of a difference they make in almost any kind of physical activity. Systematically build your body's athletic foundation with Elements."

Catherine's notes about GMB:

GMB Fitness is great for developing intelligent strength and movement patterns. You can do this at home with no equipment—think animal movements and bodyweight exercises.

GMB has ample valuable free content on specific topics. Their paid programs are comprehensive fitness programs, and are worth it (and have different content than the free stuff).  The free stuff can help you support a specific issue, and the in-depth programs will help you cultivate a movement practice that will support the integrity of your body.

My advice with GMB (which is their advice too): Slow. Way. Down. You won't be able to move like the experienced demonstrators. Modify, a lot if need be. I have been working with GMB's Elements program (an 8-week course) for 5 years now. The more I do it, the slower and simpler my version of this practice gets, and the more valuable it feels for my body.

As my friend Tina says: "I love GMB! The moves feel good, hard, and are fun."
